In early 2006, Sim Brother 1 started. Bearing in mind I was only 15, this was a very simple site as I was a complete novice at web design on Microsoft FrontPage. It was based on the game "The Sims" and involved 8 Sims being locked in a house and following their every moves. I always was fascinated in how "The Sims" was so close to the TV show Big Brother (of which I am a big fan of in the UK).

In April 2006 Meee-com was born. Based on the somewhat unique username I always use (wot_bout_meee) it aimed to let people communicate with each other for free over the internet. By this time Sim Brother 1 had already failed and I had plans for the second series. This started in June and involved 8 real people being chucked in a virtual house for a few weeks. This also posed to be too demanding on both the housemates and me to keep up and it died in August without any winner.

Meanwhile, Meee-com was very experimental. I found that people could not be bothered to sign up for membership to such a simple service, so I offered the services freely. The homepage of the site also changed numerous times, the most recent change was from a homepage that didn't look to different to the Google homepage. I also changed web hosting from Yahoo's geocities to a great service called Free Web Town which gives much more disk space and more bandwidth. I would recommend the service to anyone who is starting out on website design or further.

Meee-com Music, Meee-com games and Meee-com Interactive were added in November 2006 and were altered slightly to fit in with the arrival of Meee OD in Early February 2007

In Late November, Sim Brother 3 Unlimited, a new version of Sim Brother that proved to be much less demanding and was set into a forum, launched. Housemates were able to join the house at any time, however surprise evictions were often. XKATEX was the eventual winner when it finished in early April.

In May 2007, Meee-com changed its web address to www.meee.org.uk, ending an era of the www.meee-com.co.nr domain.

Mid 2007 saw the 2 largest and most successful areas of the website launch. Meee BB opened to cover the UK version of Big Brother whilst Sim Brother 4 opened its application process in April. Sim Brother 4 launched on September 16 and continued for 12 weeks in what was the most twisted, difficult and successful series to date. Josh emerged the winner in mid December. Meanwhile iMeee, Meee-com Film, Meee-com Games and Meee-com Music were closed due to inactivity and lack of interest.

2008 is planned to be the most exciting of all. Meee-com has now changed to Meee - a name that now matches its address. Meee OD is now a full source for on demand entertainment in the fields of TV, Radio and Games and is a much easier service to use. Sim Brother is on its way to its 5th series whilst Meee BB is planning to cover Big Brother 9 in the UK. Meee Thinks, a personal and controversial take on current affairs and topics of interest is planned to be launched in the near future as well.

Meee-com and its associates are and will continue to use and support free services and resources found on the internet to run its website. We also support the use of free and open source software and Free alternatives to Microsoft's Windows XP and Apple Mac. Thus Meee-com does and will continue to offer all of its services for free. So far this entire website has cost a total of £4.68 since its launch. Its possible!!!!
